- Anthropology is housed in the Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice, Law and Society Department. The department offers the following majors and minors:
- Major and minor in Sociology*
- Major and minor in Anthropology
- Major and minor in Criminal Justice, Law and Society
- Minor in Comparative Religion
- Minor in Social Equity and Social Change
- Minor in Gender & Sexuality Studies
*Students who major in Cultural Anthropology cannot double-major in Sociology

Declaring a major in Cultural Anthropology
- 鶹Ӱ students declare majors by the end of sophomore year or at 45 earned credits
- Current students interested in the Anthropology major should connect with a Cultural Anthropology advisor as soon as possible.
- Students should consult with an Anthropology advisor before the end of sophomore year to decide if they will pursue a Cultural Anthropology major with or without study abroad.
Cultural Anthropology Requirements
Course Planning for Cultural Anthropology

- ANTH 101 Introduction to Cultural Anthropology (fall or spring)
- One Cultural Explorations Course (see BoxerOnline for current offerings):
- ANTH 240 Comparative Religions,GSS 316 Gender & Sexuality,
- SOC 347 Global Cap Neo-Colonial Inequalities, or
- SOC 360 - Critical Race Theory
- One Elective or Interdisciplinary Elective (see catalog for lists)
