Growing up, Pamela Lee '19, MAT '20 looked up to all of her teachers.

Trevor Hennigan MAT '22 knew that it was time to step up and make a change when the pandemic hit.

Corey Hedger '18, MAT '19 wanted a small community and a small school where he would get the most out of his education while also being challenged every day.

Fregoso is pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Teaching and English Language Learning, or BEd, at �鶹Ӱ��. The flexible program is designed with flexibility to support community college transfer students, as well as K-12 classified staff interested in becoming teachers. Students study at Pacific’s Woodburn, eugene or Forest Grove campuses, or in hybrid programs from their own communities, and they are immersed in local schools.

LeMar Anglin was a pioneer in sports management when he �鶹Ӱ��d from �鶹Ӱ�� in 2012. Now the university has a major that will help others follow his trail.

“The small campus, the close knit staff, and student cohort were exactly what I needed,” said Stacy Carpenter MAT '16.

Lisa Story MAT '20 has wanted to be a teacher for as long as she can remember.

Nancy Deniz ‘20 was the first in her family to go to college, but �鶹Ӱ�� felt like home for the education and learning major.

Nate Anderson '17, MAT '20 earned his under�鶹Ӱ�� degree in exercise science at �鶹Ӱ��, then went on to earn his master of arts in teaching. "I loved the small school feel and how closely you get to work with the professors here," he said.

�鶹Ӱ�� faculty members and supporters have advocated for several years for recognition for a new class of dental care provider. This month, the Oregon Legislature signed on.

In 1876, �鶹Ӱ�� celebrated one of its early commencement ceremonies with a special distinction: Pacific became one of the first universities in the United States to welcome Japanese citizens to its alumni ranks.

Daniel Altamirano Hernández ’19 wants people to know that he and his colleagues at Centro Cultural are serving with purpose.
