The base coverage, administered by , provides 1.5 times your annual salary (not more than $200,000) to your designated beneficiary in the event of your death. All benefit-eligible employees qualify for this coverage starting the first day of the month following their beginning employment date. Benefit-eligible employees also receive accidental death & dismemberment insurance, which provides benefits if you are seriously injured or killed in an accident.
You also may choose to purchase Supplemental Life Insurance through Standard at a low cost. You can purchase up to $150,000 in supplemental coverage for yourself, and up to $20,000 for your spouse.
