Master of Social Work Admissions Requirements
- Completed bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
- GPA: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 strongly desired.
- English Proficiency: Demonstrated English language proficiency if English is not your first language. Please reach out to admissions for accepted tests and scores.
- SocialWorkCAS Application: Complete an online application through the (Social Work Centralized Application Service). Your application includes short essay questions, a professional resume/CV, and two letters of recommendation.
- Background Check: If accepted, students will need to successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and/or immunization requirements.
- NO GRE Required! Test scores uploaded to the CSDCAS system will not be considered as part of the admissions criteria.
The Admissions Committee uses a holistic review process in considering applicants for admission, including factors such as:
- Academic record
- Community service and social work-related experience
- Communication skills
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Letters of recommendation
- Commitment to the profession

- Explore the Master of Social Work Program: Join us for Social Work Wednesday! This is an open Q&A virtual information meeting every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon Pacific Time. Meetings will cover information about the program, field education, the admissions process, and the availability of tuition assistance and stipends. Email our admissions counselor to receive the Zoom meeting link. Our admission counselor also is available to help you navigate the application process step by step!
- Apply through the SocialWorkCAS: Submit your application online through the SocialWorkCAS system. Your application will include:
- Transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended.
- Short essay questions
- A professional resume or curriculum vitae
- Two letters of recommendation

The Â鶹ӰÊÓ Master of Social Work Program participates in Pacific’s Guaranteed Grad School Admission Program. Students may apply for the MSW Program as soon as they commit to Pacific as underÂ鶹ӰÊÓs or transfer students, or during their junior year.
Â鶹ӰÊÓ Â鶹ӰÊÓs who complete the application process by the early application deadline and meet all admission requirements will be guaranteed admission and have a reserved spot in the upcoming cohort.
