BARRIE -- Britney Spears said she celebrated the ending of her conservatorship with her 鈥渇irst glass of champagne鈥� over the weekend.
In an shared Monday, the 39-year-old singer said she had an 鈥渁mazing weekend鈥� adding that she 鈥渇elt like I was on cloud nine the whole time.鈥�
On Friday, L.A. judge Brenda Penny terminated Spears鈥� nearly 14-year-long conservatorship of estate and person.
In the post, Spears said she had her first glass of champagne 鈥渁t the most beautiful restaurant I鈥檝e ever seen鈥� on Friday.
鈥淚鈥檓 celebrating my freedom and my B day for the next two months!鈥� she wrote.
Spears also thanked her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, saying he has 鈥渢ruly turned my life around.鈥�
鈥淚鈥檓 forever thankful for that,鈥� she wrote.
In September, Spears鈥� father, James Spears, filed to end the court conservatorship which controlled his daughter鈥檚 life and money for 13 years.
During a hearing in June, Spears gave an impassioned speech, describing the restrictions under the conservatorship as 鈥渁busive.鈥�
She told the court: 鈥淚 just want my life back.鈥�
In the Instagram post Monday, Spears said it was a 鈥渟ight鈥� to see so many people celebrating her victory.
鈥淚 love my fans so much,鈥� she wrote.
Shortly after the conservatorship was terminated by Penny on Friday, Spears , calling it the 鈥渂est day ever.鈥�
The singer shared a video of her fans dancing and celebrating the news.
鈥淚 think I鈥檓 gonna cry for the rest of the day !!!鈥� she wrote.
