Jennifer Aniston is criticizing JD Vance for comments he made in his past about women without children.

Aniston shared a screenshot of Vance鈥檚 appearance on her Instagram stories, and wrote, 鈥淚 truly can鈥檛 believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States.鈥

In a resurfaced video from a 2021 appearance on Tucker Carlson鈥檚 former Fox News show, Vance, who was then a candidate for the Ohio Senate, told Carlson that the United States was being run by 鈥渁 bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they鈥檝e made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.鈥

In the resurfaced clip, which re-gained traction this week on social media, Vance said, 鈥淚t鈥檚 just a basic fact 鈥 you look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC 鈥 the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. And how does it make any sense that we鈥檝e turned our country over to people who don鈥檛 really have a direct stake in it?鈥

Aniston 鈥 who typically keeps her personal life private, but has publicly spoken about her fertility journey 鈥 also wrote about Vance鈥檚 far-right stance on reproductive rights.

鈥淎ll I can say is鈥 Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day,鈥 Aniston wrote on her Instagram stories. 鈥淚 hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.鈥

In 2022, Aniston gave rare comments in an Allure cover story, sharing for the first time that she struggled with her fertility and underwent IVF.

鈥淚 was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road,鈥 Aniston said, reflecting on her 30s and 40s. 鈥淎ll the years and years and years of speculation鈥 It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would鈥檝e given anything if someone had said to me, 鈥楩reeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.鈥 You just don鈥檛 think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.鈥

Aniston鈥檚 passionate words about Vance鈥檚 comments come from a personal place, as the 鈥淔riends鈥 star has personal experience being judged for not having children. Throughout her entire career, Aniston has been subjected to excessive tabloid coverage, which has repeatedly prodded into her relationships over the years and questioned why she does not have children.

In her Allure interview, Aniston said the media鈥檚 narrative that she 鈥渨as just selfish鈥 and 鈥渏ust cared about my career鈥 was painful.

鈥淕od forbid a woman is successful and doesn鈥檛 have a child,鈥 she said in 2022. 鈥淎nd the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn鈥檛 give him a kid. It was absolute lies.鈥

On Wednesday, Aniston also appeared to give her endorsement to Harris by reposting a 2018 video of Harris pushing then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on abortion rights.

(The video Aniston reposted was shared by actress Allison Janney.)

Reproductive health will be a key issue this election. Many women in Hollywood have spoken out about reproductive rights throughout the years and will align with Harris, who has been the Biden administration鈥檚 leading voice on abortion and female healthcare.

CNN has reached out to Aniston鈥檚 representative for further comment on her post about Vance and her apparent endorsement of Harris.
