A Toronto woman facing terror-related charges briefly appeared before a judge via video by force on Thursday, after she refused to attend court three times before.

Rehab Dughmosh, 32, had been refusing to leave her cell to attend court for weeks. On Thursday, she was forced to stand in front of a camera for her court appearance, but she refused to co-operate and answer questions.

Flanked by two officers who wore helmets and face shields, Dughmosh told the court through a translator, 鈥淵ou are all infidels. I do not worship what you worship.鈥

Dughmosh faces a total of 21 charges, including attempted murder for the benefit of or in association with a terrorist group.

Police allege she swung a golf club at employees and a customer at a Canadian Tire store on June 3. She also allegedly pulled out a large knife from under her clothes before store staff restrained her.

During her first court appearance in June, Dughmosh pledged allegiance to the Islamic State militant group, or ISIS, in response to questions about her name. She refused to attend three subsequently scheduled court appearances, until a judge ordered that she be removed from her cell by force.

Dughmosh鈥檚 case will be back before the court next week, when a judge will decide whether an assessment is required to see if the accused is fit to stand trial.
