Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
- GPA: Minimum grade point average of 3.0
- Experience: Internship or practicum coursework in nonprofit, civic or social impact profession at the undergrad level, or work experience (paid or volunteer) in nonprofit, civic or social impact professions.
- NO GRE Required! No state or national exams are required for admission.
We are seeking applicants who have a passion for mission-based organizations in the nonprofit sector. Â鶹ӰÊÓ MNL applicants seek individual professional growth to make a significant contribution to a nonprofit organization, and to contribute to the growth of the nonprofit profession. MNL applicants can be seasoned professionals with much to share and new faces with much to learn. MNL applicants are open to new ideas, can embrace best practices, and support a mutually beneficial learning environment.
Application Deadlines
Apply Anytime: The Master of Nonprofit Leadership program uses a rolling admissions system. Students may apply at any time. Admitted students will begin classes at the beginning of the next term following admission.
How to Apply
- Explore the nonprofit field. Applicants should have experience with nonprofit, civic or social impact professions. This can include paid or volunteer work, or an underÂ鶹ӰÊÓ internship or practicum.
- Talk to a program rep. Get in touch with our dedicated admissions counselor or program director to learn more about the Master of Nonprofit Leadership Program.
- Apply online. Your application will include:
- Official transcripts from your underÂ鶹ӰÊÓ college(s).
- Personal essay. Submit a 350- to 500-word essay answering why you are interested in the Master of Nonprofit Leadership Program at Â鶹ӰÊÓ. Consider the following prompt ideas: What do you expect to gain from the MNL? How will the MNL help you achieve your professional goals? How will you use your MNL learning to improve your organization? What part of the MNL will you find most beneficial?
- Resume/CV. Submit a current resume or curriculum vitae listing your professional experience (paid and volunteer), accomplishments/awards, and educational background.
- Letters of recommendation. Provide two current letters of recommendation from professional contacts who can attest to your ability to succeed in a Â鶹ӰÊÓ program.
- Get your acceptance letter. Applicants will receive an acknowledgement that their applications have been received and their admission notification within four weeks of applying.
- Deposit. Upon acceptance, a $100 deposit is required to hold your space in the Master of Nonprofit Leadership Program.

The Â鶹ӰÊÓ Master of Nonprofit Leadership Program participates in Pacific’s Guaranteed Grad School Admission Program. Students may apply for the MNL Program as soon as they commit to Pacific as underÂ鶹ӰÊÓs or transfer students, or during their junior year.
