CETCI is Here to Help

The CETCI team is available, so please reach out to them if you need help! You are not bothering them — they've been expecting this, and are prepared for your calls and emails. Whether you need a quick answer or a big brainstorming session, they're ready to talk with you.

To get in touch with them, you can email them individually: Al Weiss (alweiss@pacificu.edu), Tatiana Piatanova (tapiatanova@pacificu.edu), or Robbie Pock (pockr@pacificu.edu) or simply send a message to edtech@pacificu.edu at any time to set up an appointment. Due to social distancing, they will not have face-to-face office hours. However, they are always available by e-mail or Zoom, so please reach out to them over e-mail to set up an appointment.

  • Remember the 10-minute Rule: if you are struggling to make something work or figure something out for longer than 10 minutes, you’re in diminishing returns, so just email CETCI.
  • Practice with them! It is a good idea to practice using new technology tools before you try them with students. Let us know if you want to practice using Zoom or another tool/technique.

Use Zoom Like a Pro -

All Â鶹ӰÊÓ faculty and students now automatically have access to a Zoom Pro license (so you get all the bells and whistles) when you go to . Visit for a full menu of Zoom tutorials or take a look at our for help on setting up your Pacific Zoom account. UIS has also a great  on accessing Pacific’s Zoom account.

Be aware of "ZoomBombing" and how to prevent it

ZoomBombing is a new form of trolling in which a person who is not an invited participant to a Zoom meeting enters the gathering and attempts to disrupt it in ways that are often offensive.
