The family and victims of the deadly Saskatchewan bus crash that killed 15 people and injured another 14 are receiving messages of support from across the world as the identities of the dead and injured are confirmed.

The accident occurred about 200 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon late Friday afternoon. The RCMP confirmed 29 people were on the bus at the time of the accident. 

Seven of the dead have now been identified as Humboldt Broncos junior hockey coach Darcy Haugan, captain Logan Schatz and player Adam Herold, as well as Jaxon Joseph, Logan Hunter and Stephen Wack. Play-by-play radio announcer Tyler Bieber, who was travelling with the team, has also been confirmed dead.

鈥淚t鈥檚 been a devastating few hours,鈥 Humboldt Mayor Rob Muench told 麻豆影视 Channel on Saturday. 鈥淚 would like to personally extend condolences to those that have lost loved ones and those that are injured. We ask people for their thoughts and prayers to help everyone get through this.鈥

鈥淚 think if you鈥檙e a parent, a sibling, a grandparent, this resonates with you whether you are involved in hockey or not. It鈥檚 just very, very tragic,鈥 said Canadian Junior Hockey League President Brent Ladds. 鈥淭his team is a big part of the fabric of that community.鈥

鈥淧eople that we don鈥檛 even know from across the country, basically from across the world are reaching out to us,鈥 said Michelle Straschinitzki, whose 18-year-old son was injured on the bus. 鈥淲e are just so thankful, and devastated.鈥

鈥淥ur thoughts and prayers are extended to the families of our staff and athletes as well as to all who have been impacted by this horrible tragedy. Our Broncos family is in shock as we try to come to grips with our incredible loss,鈥 Broncos President Kevin Garinger said in a statement on Friday.
