HARARE, Zimbabwe - Officials say the deadlock in power-sharing talks to resolve Zimbabwe's political crisis is over what positions President Robert Mugabe and opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai will hold in a new government.

Two officials who spoke on condition of anonymity say the talks had broken off because the opposition is upset with an offer making Tsvangirai a vice president.

They requested anonymity Tuesday because everyone in the talks signed an agreement for a media blackout.

Zimbabwe's Information Minister Sikhanyiso Ndlovu meanwhile warns negotiators to honor the media blackout agreement.

Ndlovu also accuses Western nations of trying to influence the talks that began last week.
