An escalating ground offensive in Gaza has left at least 420 Palestinians and 20 Israelis dead since violence between the two sides broke out earlier this month.
This latest round of fighting was triggered after the bodies of three Israeli teenagers were found in the West Bank. A Palestinian teen was later abducted in east Jerusalem and burned to death. Amid the growing tensions, Hamas began firing rockets into Israel, and the Israeli military responded.
