Canada has now executed more than 100 airstrikes in support of the anti-ISIS campaign in Iraq and Syria.

Among the 100 strikes are two successful attacks this weekend -- one near Bayji and another near Mosul -- according to the Department of National Defence.

Another milestone -- 1,000 sorties -- was reached on Friday.

So far there have been 661 sorties by CF-188 Hornet fighters, 185 reconnaissance missions by CP-140 Aurora aircraft and 170 sorties by CC-150T Polaris aerial re-fueller.

Minister Jason Kenney said he is proud of the soldiers鈥 鈥渟ignificant contributions to Coalition operations.鈥

鈥淭he achievement of these milestones again proves the capability of the Canadian Armed Forces to fight alongside our Allies and degrade the capability of ISIS to conduct operations in the region,鈥 he said.
