WASHINGTON - Two U.S. envoys will travel to China, South Korea and Japan this week for talks on ways to restart nuclear disarmament negotiations with North Korea.
Stephen Bosworth and Sung Kim will leave Tuesday. The State Department had no details about specific travel dates Monday but says there are no plans for travel to North Korea or for meetings with North Korean officials.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will also meet Friday with South Korean Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan to talk about the North Korean nuclear standoff.
North Korea quit disarmament talks and conducted an atomic test last year, earning tighter U.N. sanctions. The North has reached out in recent months but wants sanctions lifted as part of the nuclear negotiations.
