KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - Three Canadian soldiers were injured after the armoured vehicle they were riding in accidentally crashed in Kandahar this weekend.

Two of the soldiers suffered what are described as minor injuries, but another soldier was evacuated by helicopter to the Kandahar Air Field Multinational Medical Unit and was reportedly in serious condition.

The name of the injured soldier has not been released.

The three Canadians were in an RG-31 armoured vehicle when it rolled over about 5:30 p.m.  The circumstances of the accident are unclear.
