The Blue Jays and Texas Rangers rivalry is hitting the books after the Toronto Public Library tweeted out a special message in the form of book spine poetry on Thursday afternoon.

The Toronto library sent out some banter aimed at both the Baltimore Orioles and Texas Rangers in the form of book spines that read, 鈥淪orry!,鈥 鈥淏altimore,鈥 鈥淣ot Sorry鈥 and 鈥淭exas鈥 alongside a Blue Jays hat, bat and beer can. Along with the book spines was a tweet that read, 鈥淲e鈥檙e sorry for the etiquette blip, but still quite proud of the infamous flip. Go Jays!鈥 in reference to Jose Bautista鈥檚 infamous bat flip during last year鈥檚 postseason Rangers-Jays series.

The Arlington Public Library in Texas has not responded to the Toronto library鈥檚 tweet, but was involved in some earlier back-and-forth teasing with the Oshawa Public Library in Ontario on Thursday morning.

The Oshawa library tweeted out their excitement for the game using the books, 鈥淭exas,鈥 鈥淏aseball,鈥 鈥淐hampions鈥 and 鈥淚n Some Other World, Maybe.鈥

The Arlington library responded with three book spines in front of a Texas flag reading, 鈥淗ome Game,鈥 鈥淩uined鈥 and 鈥淭he Genius of Birds鈥 alongside a stuffed bull.

The Toronto Public Library was involved in some book spine trash-talking last postseason when the Jays played the Kansas City Royals. The Toronto Public Library and Kansas City Library gained thousands of views after trading multiple clever tweets.
