With P.K. Subban heading to the Nashville Predators, some are worried about his pledge of $10 million for the Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital.

But Subban has reassured fans he鈥檚 still committed to his charity work.

鈥淥bviously I look forward to continuing to work with the hospital and helping that community,鈥 he said in a video posted to Instagram.

That was a huge relief to those at the hospital, where the atrium now bears Subban鈥檚 name.

However, the hospital鈥檚 executive director, Marie-Josee Gariepy, acknowledged that Subban won鈥檛 visit as often -- he has frequently dropped in on weekends to visit patients and staff,

鈥淗e will be less physically present with the patients because he won鈥檛 be in Montreal any more, but you know, raising money is a science in a way, and we鈥檒l help him go through,鈥 she said.

Jean-Gilles Gadoury, an 11-year-old cancer patient, met Subban at the hospital during an appointment, and posed with him for pictures.

鈥淗e鈥檚 very nice, I like this guy,鈥 he said.

Jean-Gilles and his mother, Marie-Josee Gadoury, believe Subban will be back.

鈥淲e trust him and we鈥檙e very happy he鈥檚 still going to help us,鈥 she said.

At the Just For Laughs festival, they鈥檝e also received assurances Subban will still host an all-star comedy gala, with part of the proceeds going to his foundation and the Children鈥檚 Hospital.

鈥淧.K. would like to do this I think, he鈥檚 looking forward to it,鈥 said chief operating officer Bruce Hills.
