Nashville Predators defenceman P.K. Subban has received a special birthday wish from the Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital that he frequented during his time with the Montreal Canadiens.

The popular player turned 28 on May 13.

Children and staff at the hospital posted a video on Twitter of them singing 鈥淗appy Birthday鈥 to the former Montreal Canadiens defenceman along with a message saying, 鈥淍PKSubban1 the Children鈥檚 hospital has a special something to say to you!鈥

Subban replied to tweet saying, 鈥淭hank you @HopitalChildren!! Miss you guys. #PKSF @PKSF1鈥

Subban pledged to raise $10 million for the Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital over seven years in 2015 and has already . The blueliner was traded to the Predators in June 2016 but has maintained his promise to the hospital.

His charity program at the hospital, , is dedicated to helping families who are financially devastated by a child鈥檚 illness.

Since the Canadiens were eliminated in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, many Habs fans have been supporting the Predators and Subban, hoping that he鈥檚 able to win the Stanley Cup and bring it to Montreal to share with the children鈥檚 hospital.

Subban played seven seasons for the Montreal Canadiens.
