RIO DE JANEIRO -- Graham Vigrass and Gavin Schmitt both had 10 points to lead Canada over Mexico 3-0 on Saturday in men's volleyball at the Rio Olympics.

John Gordon Perrin added nine points as the Canadians took the match 25-20, 25-13, 25-22.

The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Canada, which had started its first Olympics since 1992 with a victory over the United States. The Canadians are now 2-2 and in a four-way tie for second in Pool A. They'll wrap up preliminary-round play on Monday against Italy, which leads the group with three wins.

Italy played host Brazil on later Saturday night.

Carlos Guerra led the Mexicans with 10 points.
