Rescue crews say a 21-year-old snowboarder is still missing at a B.C. ski resort, after three others were found alive following an avalanche.

Officials said they've called off their search at the Big White Ski Resort in Kelowna until morning.

On Sunday, two skiers -- including a 12-year-old boy -- were found in an area called the Parachute Bowl after being partially buried by the avalanche.

Later in the day, a third skier who officials had reported missing showed up safe and sound at the resort.

Michael Ballingall, the resort's senior vice president, said that 37 people were involved in Sunday's search and rescue operation, as well as two avalanche rescue dogs and two helicopters.

He told Â鶹ӰÊÓnet that the resort had a lot of snowfall in the last two weeks but little sun.

Warn weather on Sunday loosened the snow and may have led to the avalanche, he said.
