Joan of Arc had God to squelch her innermost fears. Joan Rivers has her plastic surgeon's scalpel. Used like a musketeer's blade at a jaunty brothel brawl, this surgeon's knife may have helped Joan take the edge of aging (Rivers turned 74 in 2007).

But after two facelifts, a nose job, an eye tuck and enough Botox injections to flatten out a rogue elephant's wrinkles, Rivers' face is now the stuff of legend - the legend of Sleep Hollow, that is.
