TORONTO - Canadian comedy star Seth Rogen plans to team up with some of his old pals next year as he co-directs a feature film he created with his longtime writing partner, Evan Goldberg.

The Vancouver native says the film is a "horror comedy" called "The Apocalypse" and has a "substantial" cast that includes former collaborators Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill and James Franco.

Rogen says it's about a bunch of friends who are stuck in a house together as the apocalypse happens outside.

Rogen dished the details in an interview at the Toronto International Film Festival, where he's starring in two comedy-dramas -- "Take This Waltz" and "50/50."

The Toronto film fest runs through September 18th.
