The second Canadian killed in the attacks on Mumbai has been identified as Elizabeth Russell, the partner of a Montreal doctor who was also killed.
Family confirmed to CTV Montreal that Russell was killed alongside Dr. Michael Moss when gunmen stormed several sites around India's financial capital.
The couple went to India in late October for a vacation and were due to return to Canada on Monday.
They had rented a room at the Oberai hotel, one of two hotels targeted by the terrorists.
Elizabeth Russell, 65, was a retired nurse and had been with Moss for about 20 years. Russell was also a social worker.
Family and friends gathered in Montreal for a private vigil Sunday afternoon.
Moss was a veteran physician who worked at the Richardson Hospital Centre for 37 years, his colleague Dr. Ron Ludman told Â鶹ӰÊÓ Friday.
Moss was trained in Britain and was a key member of the hospital's rehabilitation program for two decades.
"He was a wonderful physician -- an old-time physician -- always advocating for his patients," Ludman added.
Moss leaves four children from two previous marriages. Russell leaves two daughters from a previous marriage.
Speaking to Â鶹ӰÊÓ last week, Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon said there were 20 Canadians confirmed in Mumbai at the time of the attacks.
Two other have been confirmed to have been injured.
