KABUL - A roadside bomb apparently intended for NATO troops hit a civilian vehicle instead, killing nine Afghans.
The provincial police chief in Uruzgan province says two children are among the dead from the bomb that hit a small van commonly used as a taxi in Afghanistan.
Police Chief Juma Gul Himat blames the Taliban for the attack.
He says the road where the bomb exploded is often used by NATO troops.
Most bomb attacks in Afghanistan target Afghan or NATO soldiers, but often end up killing civilians.
