Â鶹ӰÊÓ School of Pharmacy accepts international applicants. Official evaluations from WES or ECE must be sent directly to PharmCAS in order for Pacific to receive them. International students must complete the same application requirements mandatory for all applicants.

Foreign Coursework

Applicants must have all coursework completed at foreign colleges or universities (non-US and Canadian colleges, universities or Â鶹ӰÊÓ schools) evaluated by a third-party organization. All transcripts from foreign colleges or universities must receive both a credential evaluation and course-by-course evaluation from a certified agency. These transcripts and evaluations are required even if the coursework does not apply toward the pharmacy prerequisites. Â鶹ӰÊÓ School of Pharmacy will only accept evaluations from the following certified agencies: Educational Credentials Evaluations (ECE) or World Education Services (WES).

School of Pharmacy English Proficiency Policy

A satisfactory command of the English language is required for admission to Â鶹ӰÊÓ prior to admission. Please note that this requirement applies to all applicants if English is not their native language, including permanent residents and citizens.

Valid Proof of English Language Proficiency

The following criteria represent different ways to prove English proficiency for this program.

  • TOEFL or IELTS: Achieving the minimum required official score on the International Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. 

The TOEFL or IELTS can be waived if any of these have been completed:

  • Completion of an Associate's, Bachelor's, Master’s, Doctorate degree at an accredited college or university where English is the only language of instruction.
  • Completed at least 60 semester credits (or 90 quarter credits) as a full time student from an institution where English is the only language of instruction (A full 2 years of classes).

Foreign Pharmacy Education

Applicants who completed a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from a foreign college or university are handled on a case-by-case basis. Applicants are encouraged to complete an first to have their foreign coursework evaluated by the Office of Graduate and Professional Admissions. As mentioned above, all foreign coursework must receive an official evaluation by a certified agency (ECE or WES). Several factors will be taken into consideration when evaluating any previous foreign pharmacy education: coursework completed, grades received, duration of study, and the length of time passed since completion of the pharmacy degree. Based on these factors, some of the School of Pharmacy prerequisite courses may be waived. The Admissions Committee for the School of Pharmacy makes all final decisions about the use of foreign pharmacy courses to meet prerequisite requirements.
