Police are investigating one of their own after an officer shot at a dog Thursday morning.
The officer was called to a home in the 7200 block of 40th street N.E. for reports of fighting.
When he got there, a large dog came charging out of the home.
The officer fired a shot at the dog, but missed, and the animal ran away.
Police are investigating.
