KABUL, Afghanistan - Two more NATO service members have been killed in Afghanistan, military officials said Friday, raising the death toll from attacks the previous day to seven international troops.
Five U.S. troops died in a roadside bombing in southern Afghanistan, U.S. military officials said. No other details were disclosed.
A French soldier was killed when a roadside bomb exploded on a convoy 7 kilometres south of Tagab in Kapisa province in the east, the French defence ministry said in a statement. Four other French soldiers were wounded in the attack.
The nationality of the seventh NATO service member killed Thursday has not yet been disclosed. The service member died in an insurgent attack in the south, according to the U.S.-led coalition.
So far this year, 376 American and other NATO service members have died in the war in Afghanistan.
