Olivia Bowden joined CTVNews.ca's national editorial team as a Digital Writer-Producer in September 2022.
Prior to joining CTVNews.ca, Olivia was a Staff Reporter at the Toronto Star, covering health and social justice stories. Olivia has also worked for CBC News, Global News, Yahoo Canada as well as The Canadian Press. While at Global News, Olivia's coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic and racial justice won her a RNAO Media Award for Best Online Story 2020.
She has also freelanced for multiple publications including The Financial Post and FLARE Magazine.
Olivia attended Queen's University where she majored in history and graduated in 2015. She also received a certificate in Sexual and Gender Studies from the school due to focusing her work on women and the LGBTQ+ community. Following her time at Queen's, Olivia went on to complete a Master of Journalism degree at Carleton University and graduated in 2017.
