A member of Ukrainian Parliament, who toured the streets of Bucha on Sunday and Monday, says what she saw amounts to a 鈥渢otal genocide.鈥
In an interview on 麻豆影视 Channel鈥檚 Power Play on Monday, MP and leader of Ukraine鈥檚 liberal and pro-Europe Holos Party Kira Rudyk said she鈥檚 witnessed mass graves of about 300 bodies.
鈥淢ost of them with their hands tied behind their backs 鈥 men but also women and children. Some of them killed all together, some of them killed separately,鈥 she said.
鈥淭he bodies, they were trying to burn, especially women, to cover [up] the rapes and all the other sexual assault happening there. So what we have seen was a total genocide.鈥
Rudyk said she is using the term 鈥済enocide鈥 intentionally because the individuals were not armed, nor were they resistant.
Scenes like those depicted by Rudyk on the outskirts of Ukraine鈥檚 capital, have prompted international condemnation and calls for a war crimes trial against Russia President Vladimir Putin.
