New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu will decide 鈥渋n the next week or two鈥 if he wants to mount a bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

鈥淲hen I start doing something, I鈥檓 120 per cent in,鈥 the governor told CNN鈥檚 Jake Tapper on 鈥淪tate of the Union鈥 on Sunday. 鈥淧retty soon, we鈥檒l make a decision, probably in the next week or two. And we鈥檒l either be go or no-go.鈥

Sununu鈥檚 remarks come as the field of GOP presidential hopefuls continues to widen, following the entrance of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott into the race last week.

Sununu, currently in his fourth term as New Hampshire governor, said figuring out where he could be most effective would factor into his 2024 decision.

鈥淭he money has been lined up, the support鈥檚 been lined up. There鈥檚 a pathway to win. All that 鈥 those boxes are checked. The family鈥檚 on board, which is always a big one. I just got to make sure it鈥檚 right for the party and right for me,鈥 he said.
