U.S. President Joe Biden on Saturday called Donald Trump 鈥渃learly unhinged鈥 and claimed that 鈥渟omething snapped鈥 in the former president after he lost the 2020 election.
鈥淚t鈥檚 clear that 鈥 when he lost in 2020, something snapped in him,鈥 Biden told supporters in Seattle at a private fundraiser Saturday, according to reporters in the room. 鈥淗e鈥檚 not only obsessed with losing in 2020, he鈥檚 clearly unhinged. Just listen to what he鈥檚 telling people.鈥
Even though Biden thinks the presumptive GOP presidential nominee is 鈥渦nhinged,鈥 he said he believes the November election will be 鈥渃lose.鈥
鈥淲e feel good about the state of the race, but we know the race is close,鈥 Biden said, pointing to recent polls.
Trump continues to hold an advantage over Biden, conducted by SSRS last month. Trump鈥檚 support in the poll among registered voters held steady at 49 per cent in a head-to-head matchup against Biden, the same as in CNN鈥檚 last national poll on the race in January, while Biden鈥檚 stood at 43 per cent, not significantly different from January鈥檚 45 per cent.
