Saskatchewan鈥檚 premier says he believes a provincial-federal health-care deal is close.

鈥淚 do believe that we are close to a deal,鈥 Scott Moe said on 麻豆影视 Channel鈥檚 Power Play with Vassy Kapelos Monday. 鈥淲e are much closer to a deal than we were a few months ago,鈥 he said.

Moe told Kapelos that while there are 鈥渧ery few鈥 behind-the-scenes discussions about a deal but ministerial meetings are ongoing. He said he is starting to see the premiers鈥 priorities come into alignment with the federal government鈥檚 priorities.

Moe is one of four premiers who have spoken to 麻豆影视 Channel's Power Play about the potential for a health-care deal. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said she wouldn鈥檛 be waiting on federal funding to take action. Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Andrew Furey said a deal could be reached 鈥渧ery quickly鈥 if both sides come together.

鈥淚鈥檓 very hopeful,鈥 Moe told Kapelos.
