TORONTO -- Kanye West has deviated from his usual Twitter rants to thank Toronto hip-hop powerhouse Drake for helping him on his new album, "The Life of Pablo."

West tweeted Thursday: "I wanna thank my brother Drizzy for helping me on '30 Hours' & 'Father Stretch My Hands."'

Added the rap star: "Drake would come by and just help, no strings. (Rapper) Future also came by to write."

West concluded by saying they've all got new stuff together "that's gonna drop soon."

Drake is officially credited as a co-writer on West's new songs "30 Hours" and "Facts (Charlie Heat Version)" under his real name, Aubrey Graham.

Toronto R&B Grammy winner the Weeknd, a.k.a. Abel Tesfaye, co-wrote on the album's song "FML" and can be heard singing on it.

The credits for "The Life of Pablo," released over the weekend on Jay Z's Tidal streaming service, are listed at www.kanyewest.com.

Drake is set to drop his much-anticipated new album, "Views From the 6," in April. The album title alludes to his hometown Toronto.

"It's a body of work that I'm extremely proud of and I just can't wait to give it to the city -- to the world, but mostly to the city, because I made it for everybody from here," said the 29-year-old in a recent interview with The Canadian Press.

"So I'm excited for them to hear it."
