Kanye has announced that he will no longer release CDs and will only make his music available through streaming.
In a series of tweets, the rapper declared the CD format obsolete, tweeting, "uuuuuuum, so there it is... No more CDs from me."
The announcement comes after releasing his latest album "The Life of Pablo" on Jay Z's music streaming service Tidal.
In a moment of foreshadowing, West's album "Yeezus" featured a CD in a transparent case as its album artwork, which he described as an "open casket" to CDs in one of his tweets, bidding adieu to the format.
I was thinking about not making CDs ever again... Only streaming
