Britney Spears will debut her memoir 鈥淭he Woman In Me鈥 on October 24, according to the book鈥檚 publisher.

The memoir is being billed as a 鈥渂rave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.鈥

Referencing a landmark 2021 court hearing where Spears asked a Los Angeles superior court judge to end her 13-year court-ordered conservatorship, Jennifer Bergstrom, senior VP of publisher Gallery Books, said in a statement on Tuesday that 鈥淏ritney鈥檚 compelling testimony in open court shook the world, changed laws, and showed her inspiring strength and bravery.鈥

鈥淲e couldn鈥檛 be more proud to help her share her story at last,鈥 Bergstrom added.

Spears testified during a June 2021 the she felt her conservatorship was 鈥渁busive鈥 and pleaded for it to end, saying, 鈥淚 just want my life back. It鈥檚 been 13 years and it鈥檚 enough.鈥 The conservatorship was ultimately terminated months later.

鈥淭he impact of sharing her voice鈥攈er truth鈥攚as undeniable and changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others,鈥 a press release for the book reads, adding that Spears鈥檚 memoir 鈥渋lluminates the enduring power of music and love鈥攁nd the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms.鈥

Spears shared a post on Instagram on Tuesday also announcing the release date of her book, with text appearing in a video that read, 鈥淚t鈥檚 coming鈥 My story, on my terms, at last.鈥
