Pacific Health Sciences Associate Professor Angela Lee has been awarded the NIH National Library of Medicine’s Collection Equity Award. The $1,500 grant will be used to purchase interactive multimedia diversity training programs or to fund diversity training programs with a goal of advancing key university-wide DEI initiatives.

The 1990s was a watershed period for LGBTQ+ rights across the country. In Oregon and at Pacific, incremental gains were accomplished amid a climate of of fear and hostility. Through the social and institutional challenges, progress continued. Today, the university works to celebrate diversity

Â鶹ӰÊÓ and the Forest Grove Police Department are challenging bias, race and policing. In October 2022, the university hosted a private training involving scenarios about the houseless, immigrants, and a mental health crisis.

Full-time students admitted to the Master of Nonprofit Leadership program's 2023 cohort are eligible for two new $5,000 scholarships. Students serving Latino/a/x communities or dedicated to environmental conservation, advocacy or education are eligible to apply.

Mikaila Way ’12 is working to help Indigenous Peoples reclaim, reestablish and reconnect the food systems integral to their cultures, health and ways of life. It's all part of her job as the first Indigenous peoples’ liaison for North America with the U.N.'s Food and Agriculture Organization.
