America's favorite fast food brand is Chick-fil-A, according to a report by the American Customer Satisfaction Index.
The fast food brand, which built their success on their signature chicken sandwich, topped the leaderboard of a ranking based on the answers of 4,680 customer surveys collected in March.
Consumers gave Chick-fil-A a score of 87, up one point from 2015. Scores are measured on a scale of 1 to 100.
Rounding out the top three spots is Papa John's, followed by Little Caesars, which showed the biggest leap in satisfaction levels jumping 9 per cent from last year to earn an approval rating of 81.
The 2016 edition of the report also offered up a few interesting insights.
While nearly all the fast food chains made gains this year in satisfaction levels, Chipotle -- which had debuted at the top of the list last year -- fell 6 percent to 78 after its spate of food-related illnesses.
Likewise, respondents in the survey expressed a preference for Dunkin' Donuts over Starbucks (80 versus 75); while Arby's is gaining on its sandwich rival Subway, having climbed 8 percent versus Subway's four.
At the bottom of the heap, meanwhile is McDonald's, which landed last in the index which ranked 17 brands, at a score of 69.
However, the burger giant made a modest three percent gain this year, which analysts attribute to the chain's roll-out of their all-day breakfast.
