LOS ANGELES - Madonna, make way for Kylie Minogue. The Australian pop singer is the newest star to join with Swedish fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz, inspiring a limited swimwear line to debut in mid-May.
Minogue, 38, didn't design the beachwear line but contributed ideas and will appear in ads for the "H&M loves Kylie."
The `60s-inspired collection is "all about summer indulgence, effortless chic and lots of fun!" Minogue said on her Web site.
The line includes blue-green bikinis, scarves and a slinky silver swimsuit priced at $24.90.
"When we think Australia and glamour we think Kylie," said H&M design head Margareta van den Bosch in a statement.
Minogue, who recently resumed performing after treatment for breast cancer, has hits including "The Loco-Motion" and "Can't Get You Out of My Head."
She was an underwear model for H&M in 1998, company spokeswoman Lisa Sandberg said Friday.
Madonna co-designed a collection for H&M that went on sale last month.
