TORONTO - The oldest son of Canada's infamous Khadr family returns to a Toronto courtroom today for further cross-examination in his extradition hearing.
Abdullah Khadr admits to lying to the RCMP during an interview immediately after he stepped off a plane from Pakistan four years ago.
But Khadr says he only did so because he feared being sent back to torture in Pakistan.
The Crown accused him of telling the truth then and lying now to get out of a legal jam.
The U-S wants to try the 28-year-old on charges he bought weapons for al Qaeda and plotted to kill Americans in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
He has been in prison since his arrest almost four years ago.
