WASHINGTON - Sen. Edward Kennedy has been released from the hospital after suffering a seizure during an inaugural luncheon.
Kennedy's office confirmed that he left Washington Hospital Center, where he had been resting overnight for observation.
A spokeswoman says he's in good spirits and doctors wanted him to get some rest.
Doctors blamed fatigue for the seizure. Kennedy collapsed during an inaugural luncheon after hours at events celebrating the swearing-in of President Barack Obama.
The 76-year-old Massachusetts Democrat was diagnosed last May with a particularly aggressive type of brain tumour and been treated with surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
