OTTAWA - An Ottawa man arrested on terrorism charges will learn Sept. 28 whether he's been granted bail.

Justice of the peace Louisette Girault has reserved her decision on Misbahuddin Ahmed's fate following a two-day hearing.

Details of the proceedings for Ahmed, an X-ray technologist at an Ottawa hospital, are under a publication ban.

Ahmed, 26, was charged in late August with conspiring to facilitate terrorist activity.

Earlier this week, Ahmed -- who is being held at an Ottawa jail -- was also charged with possession of explosives intended to cause harm in league with a terrorist group.

Hiva Mohammad Alizadeh, 30, of Ottawa and Khurram Syed Sher, 28, of London, Ont., have also been charged under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

The three men were arrested after police seized more than 50 electronic circuit boards supposedly designed to be remote detonators for explosive devices, as well as schematics, videos, terrorist literature and bomb-related documents.

Bail hearings for Alizadeh and Sher have yet to begin.
