BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - The Golden Globe nominations got underway this morning with Heath Ledger receiving a supporting actor nod for "The Dark Knight."
The actor died earlier this year of a drug overdose, but his performance as the Joker has been lauded as a possible Oscar contender.
Tina Fey's great year continues with NBC's "30 Rock" earning a Golden Globes nomination for best comedy.
The series about backstage at a TV show has won two Emmy Awards for best comedy, with Fey the show's creator and star as Liz Lemon. Fey was also a "Saturday Night Live" sensation this fall with her impersonation of Sarah Palin.
The Golden Globes are handed out by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
They'll be presented on Jan. 11 on CTV.
