Some people have expressed concern about Google's use of detailed street-level mapping.
But in Greece, a privacy watchdog is doing something about the practice.
It has managed to ban Google from being able to obtain the mapping images in that country until Google provides additional privacy safeguards.
The Data Protection Authority in Greece says it wants Google to show how it will store and process the original images -- and protect them from privacy abuses.
Google has offered assurances that it would blur faces and vehicle license plates when displaying the images online.
Google says it will also act quickly if someone asked that an image be removed.
