ISTANBUL, Turkey - A Turkish news agency says a number of suspects have been detained in connection with the attack on the U.S. consulate in Istanbul.
The Dogan news agency quotes Interior Minister Besir Atalay as saying that four people are in police custody.
Three policemen and three assailants were killed in Wednesday's attack on the consulate.
One of the assailants escaped in a getaway car.
It was not immediately clear if he was among the four detained Thursday.
