TORONTO - Fans waiting in line for wristbands for the MuchMusic Video Awards will be heading home a day earlier than planned.
MuchMusic says Toronto police have asked the throngs of teenagers lined up around the music station's headquarters to disassemble their tents.
With rain forecast for the evening, MuchMusic has decided to hand out the wristbands at 6 p.m. ET Friday evening, instead of 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
The wristbands grant access to the June 20 awards bash, held streetside at Much's Toronto headquarters on Queen Street West.
Drake leads with seven nominations going into the show, which will feature performances from Adam Lambert, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry.
Miley Cyrus will co-host the show with Much VJs and perform as well.
