Taylor Swift's friends think she puts too much pressure on her relationships.
The 'We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together' hitmaker - who recently split from Conor Kennedy and has previously dated stars including John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Jonas - is much too busy for a boyfriend according to her pals who blame her unsuccessful love life on her hectic career.
Friends close to the country star told US Weekly magazine: "All Taylor wants is to be loved. She's a prisoner of her work. It takes up all of her time. She overworks relationships. She puts so much pressure on them, it ultimately kills the deal. Then she's baffled as to why it didn't work.
"It's like she's analysing love like a scientist, rather than just feeling it. It's ironic that she is a multimillionaire from singing about love."
The 22-year-old romantic pop beauty admitted to Cosmopolitan magazine that she would love to find lasting love eventually because she thinks "the idea of finding another person to share your life with is the most fascinating, beautiful quest you could ever be on in life."
But she recently insisted that men are simply not a priority for her right now.
She said: "My advice about guys has to do with how you prioritise them. They can be a part of your life but never let the guy BE your life. They can live in your world, but never make the guy your world.
"Knowing who you are and being independent and strong will be attractive to the right guy. Try too hard to impress a guy or putting him before your friends and family shows you're not OK with who you are. One of my goals is always to be OK and with who I am aside from love and boys."
