Justin Bieber sent fans into overdrive over the weekend, after posting a photo online of an apparent script for the upcoming "Man of Steel 2" film – also known as "Batman vs. Superman" -- and suggesting he may be in contention for the role of the caped crusader’s sidekick Robin.
However, there are multiple media reports that the photo, published to Bieber’s Instagram account on Saturday, is a hoax, and may be part of an upcoming comedy sketch for the Funny or Die website. On Friday, hours before the photo was posted, the 19-year-old tweeted: "Off to do something funny or … die :)."
In the photo, Bieber is seen holding a script labelled "Batman vs. Superman" that bears a "Bieber" watermark on the front page. Further fuelling the speculation, Bieber even wrote "#robin?" in the photo's caption. He has not made mention of the script or film since.
While Bieber's supporters were quick to tweet their excitement, Batman fans – many of whom are still reeling from the recent announcement that – were quick to denounce the possibility of casting the pop star.

Oh Justin Bieber is reading for the part of Robin in Batman Vs. Superman? That's cool I didn't want to live on this planet anymore anyway.
