CASPER, Wyo. - A convicted murderer and his stepson were captured in British Columbia on Friday, two weeks after escaping from a work-release program, the U.S. Marshals Service said.

Shannon Parazoo, 43, and Alonzo Durgin, 28, were arrested without incident in Cranbrook, Deputy Marshal Rex Fullmer told the Casper Star-Tribune newspaper, which reported the capture on its website Friday afternoon.

Authorities have been searching for the fugitives since they walked away from a Casper Re-Entry Center's work-release program Feb. 9.

Parazoo was convicted of second-degree murder in 1985. Durgin has convictions for aggravated assault and aggravated robbery.

Shannon Parazoo's wife, Rose, was also taken into custody, Fullmer said.

Two of her daughters were with the family and are now with Canadian child welfare services.
