MONTREAL - Premier Jean Charest says he'll boost public transit services in the Montreal area if his government is re-elected on Dec. 8.
Charest says the Liberals will increase the frequency of commuter trains and will build more stations.
Action democratique du Quebec Leader Mario Dumont, on the other hand, says an ADQ government would spend additional money on home caregivers.
Parti Quebecois Leader Pauline Marois, touring in western Quebec, is promising a PQ government would bring in a new forestry policy.
She says the industry has been hit hard by high lumber prices and reduced supplies.
Quebec solidaire has also called on Charest and Marois to support the left-wing sovereigntist party's participation in the leaders' debate scheduled for Nov. 25.
