QUEBEC - Relations between Quebec's Liberal minority government and the Action democratique du Quebec, the province's new official Opposition, are already growing sour.
Premier Jean Charest says ADQ Leader Mario Dumont has already disappointed Quebecers as Opposition leader, criticizing him for saying he would vote against the next budget before he even saw it.
"It stunned me, it disappointed me and I think that many Quebecers have got to be disappointed to see that Mr. Dumont has taken such a hard-line attitude," Charest said Saturday in Quebec City.
Dumont said last Thursday that the ADQ plans to oppose the Liberal budget and would support it only in an exceptional situation.
The ADQ surged into Opposition following the March 26 election when it jumped from five to 41 seats.
